Studies have shown that early learning programs can provide children with numerous benefits, including improved social skills, increased concentration, and a better ability to learn in general. Give your child the best start in life with Learn n' Play's exceptional educational programs.
Kindergarten is changing and with today’s competitive academic climate, there can sometimes be pressure on parents to have their children ready to enter the more formal school setting of kindergarten.
Here are 10 kindergarten readiness skills we work towards in our Learn n' Play Curriculum:
- Attentiveness and concentration
- Following 2 and 3 step directions
- Recognizing numbers and counting
- Recognizing shapes and colours
- Letter recognition and beginning sounds
- Fine motor skills: pincer grip, cutting with scissors
- Reading Readiness – left to right, top to bottom, etc.
- Social readiness – expressing feelings, sharing and taking turns, etc.
Parent-teacher meetings and individual progress reports are implemented to detail the expectations of the child’s age level and to keep parents up to date on the progress your child has made throughout the year.
Flexible Care for 3 to 5 Years Old
Learn n' Play provides two distinct programs for children aged 3-5 years old, each tailored to meet the unique needs of parents and children. Our full-day program runs from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm and is perfect for parents who need a full day of childcare
In addition to our full-day program, we also offer a more affordable part-time program that runs from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. This program provides fixed hours for parents who need shorter childcare hours for their child.
Whether you choose our full-day or part-time program, we are dedicated to providing exceptional early childhood education that fosters a love of learning and prepares children for their next steps in life.
